You might be wondering... "Why Sushi?"
The Health Benefits of Sushi
HIGH FIBER
LOW FAT
RICH IN MINERALS
LOW CALORIES (entire 6 pieces from a roll, has less than 30 calories)
LOW CHOLESTEROL
LOW SODIUM (using low sodium soy sauce)
** A study has found that more people who eat fish once or twice a week, have a lower than average risk of heart problems, certain types of cancer, diabetes, and arthritis
Tips for Eating Sushi
1. Try not to put too much soy sauce on your sushi. Excellent sushi needs no soy sauce!
2. When eating sushi, place it in your mouth, so that the "tane," topping, touches your tongue first. Do not bite half of it and leave the other half on your plate.
3. Try a piece of "gari," ginger, inbetween the different types of sushi. The "gari" cleanses your taste buds, so that you can enjoy each fish!
